Hi, I'm Amanda
I've been studying astrology for more than ten years, entirely on my own. No formal program, no certification, just books, charts, and a lot of trial and error until the patterns started to make sense on their own terms.
I came to it out of need more than curiosity. For most of my life I felt different from the people around me, and I couldn't always explain why. My thoughts moved differently. My reactions didn't always match what I saw in everyone else. Astrology was the first thing that gave that feeling a shape. It helped me make sense of parts of myself I'd never had the words for, and it explained a lot of what had felt, until then, entirely unexplainable.
Whole Sign, Tropical
Every chart on this site is read using the whole sign, tropical system, one of the oldest approaches to astrology still in practice today. Each sign covers an entire house, which keeps the chart clean and keeps the meaning close to how astrology was originally used.
It isn't the only way to read a chart, but it's the one that's made the most sense to me across ten years of study, and it's the lens behind every interpretation you'll find here.
Education Over Everything
Astrology gets treated like a party trick a lot of the time, boiled down to a sun sign horoscope and not much else. I wanted Luna & Laurel to be the opposite of that. A place where you can actually go deep, connect the dots between your placements, and understand your own chart instead of just being handed a paragraph about it.
That's what I'm most passionate about. Not predictions, but understanding. Astrology gave me a language for the parts of myself that were hardest to name, and I want this site to do the same for you.
